Sun Valley Wedding Planner
As Craig and Taylor’s Sun Valley Wedding planner, I rose to the challenge of planning the most epic wedding for these larger than life personalities. When I first met Craig and Taylor, they told me that their top priority when planning their Sun Valley Wedding at Trail Creek Pavilion was to have the most fun wedding ever. They wanted the best party of all time and never wanted a dull moment for their guests. Creating a dream wedding experience for their guests was such a blast.

In Craig and Taylor’s Words
How did you and your partner meet & fall in love?
We went to Boise High School together but didn’t really get to know one another until 6 years later when we ran into each other in New York City.
From there things started off slow for a few months until I asked Taylor to take a leap of faith and come spend a week visiting me in NYC. I had a week to sweep her off her feet and make her fall in love with me… and the rest is history.
What was the first decision you made when planning your wedding?
The first thing we decided was picking our Sun Valley wedding venue. We knew we were going to have a lot of friends coming to Idaho for the first time. Therefore, we wanted to showcase as much of what we love about Idaho as possible.
What were your priorities when planning your wedding day? What was most important to you about your wedding?
The top priorities were making it easy and a fun/seamless experience for our guests. We wanted the flow of the events from beginning to end to be fluid and to never have any lulls so that the energy and fun would just keep building throughout the night.
Why did you choose to get married at your wedding venue?
Trail Creek Pavilion at Sun Valley is gorgeous. We love Idaho’s natural beauty and Trail Creek checked off all our boxes from the aspen grove, to the cabin with a bridge over a creek, to the ceremony grass centered right on Bald Mountain. We were in our own little world for the day but we still had the infrastructure of an airport and hotels for everyone to be able to get to the venue easily.
What feeling or moment sticks out the MOST from your wedding day? What part of the day had the most effect on you or your relationship?
We will always remember our amazing Sun Valley wedding ceremony and the speeches from our friends and family. Craig’s sibling wrote an extremely heartfelt and meaningful ceremony. Similarly, our friends and family shared stories and well wishes that made us feel so special and loved! Also, we LOVED the oyster bar and ice luge—SO FUN.
What design element stood out the most to you? What inspired the design of your wedding?
Neither of us are particularly design-oriented so we greatly appreciated Sam’s strong eye for design, endless ideas, and support throughout the process. We wanted the decor to feel timeless and classy and Sam’s vision completely captured this.
How did you pick your wedding vendors?
There were a few vendors that were immediate matches for what we knew we wanted, for example, our amazing wedding planner and designer Sam Gray, photographer (Vlad Radion), videographer (Kyle Hustis), and our incredible band (Vinyl Jam). However, many of the other vendors we used we found through Sam. Sam helped us pick, based off our needs and every vendor we used ended up going above and beyond our expectations
Do you have any advice for couples choosing a Sun Valley wedding planner? What quality or strength was most important to you in a wedding planner?
Obviously, our advice is to hire Sam Gray! But, if you aren’t yet sold, try to think about what’s most important to you on your wedding day, how you want to feel, and have a conversation with your prospective planner to see if they can achieve this. People always say that things inevitably go wrong on your wedding day, but this wasn’t true for us, it was perfect, and purely because of Sam Gray and her team!
